This course aims to develop your understanding/grasping of the regression models of summarizing the relationship among variables. Linear regression models are widely used today in business, administration, economics, engineering, and the social, health and biological sciences. You should learn the rigorous way to approach regression models and be able to build regression models for real data.

Took this in s1 y2025 with prof Pan Guangming. I felt that the prof was alright. The content covered was relatively easy and (this may be subjective) interesting, I enjoyed ANOVA. He will throw questions targeting specific areas where you might not think to study for finals and he likes to set questions to calculate and plot residuals for some reason. This mod is fairly mechanical like MH4511. I didn’t manage to form a group for the project even after msging in ntulearn for groups 🥲, submitted work done by myself and he marked it w o penalising. Looking back, I should had sent an email to the prof but I was dying to 20AU (my fault). Thank you prof 😀
