The presentations were fun, and give good practice for your work later on (I guess).

Content heavy and requires memorization. Would recommend watching the lectures in a lecture theatre with friends.

This mod is content heavy and is similar to o levels social studies. All of the lectures are recorded and there are no live lectures…

Took this module while it was still in person exam and even though it was just read and vomit kind of exam, the content was really alot and it involves a lot of memory work to say the least, not for the faint hearted.

took this in 20/21 sem 2. Lectures were pre recorded with tutorials for graded group presentations. Contents were more boring version of social studies with emphasis on rote memorisation of facts. Presentation is slightly better but you need good teammates. tbh idk why they are keeping it in the new syllabus.

Took this mod is 2020/21 Sem 2, when the assessment structure was revamped to 70% Presentation + 30% Online MCQ (cheating saga this Sem lol).
Content 95% not useful except for that ~5% on WHSA (currently using in workplace). Would describe this mod as “Engineering Social Studies”, where you learn all the contents just to puke them out for a test/exam. Quality of tutors would depend on your luck, but in general, most are pretty average (dare I say below average) while a handful (4-5?) are decent.

Probably the most controversial mod in engineering school. Every engineering student has to go through this and all know how shit this mod is. The mod is very content heavy while being completely useless and the quality of the profs are not helping at all.
I think now the mod no longer has any finals due to covid but during my time in 2019, there were finals with many essay questions so you really have to cram all the bs into your brain.

Took this mod during COVID so things were a little different — exam was cancelled so our grade was 100% based on our presentation, which depends so much on the tutor you get. It feels like social studies in primary/secondary school. The presentations weren’t related to the content tested in the exam.
