SP0065 REFUGEE, DISPLACED COMMUNITIES, EDUCATION & OPPORTUNITIES (3.0 AU)

This course is a multi-disciplinary course which explores the various educational practices which currently are available to displaced communities globally, and in Southeast Asia in particular. After a brief introduction to the relevant historical background and the existing legal, social, and political contexts, the course then goes on to focus on the various educational practices offered to the displaced communities who live in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and also to the newly settled refugees in Australia and New Zealand.
